Dream's Builder's Project - A Brighter Future for Children Charity Event

Dream's Builder's Project - A Brighter Future for Children Charity Event
By Dr Kambiz Silani

This red carpet charity event drew guests to share in the gift of giving, specifically to the Children"s Hospital Los Angeles. We, at Beverly Hills Optometry, were proud to donate our eye care services for the fundraising efforts during the silent auction. A big thank you to the organizers of the event including the founder, Mayer Dahan, for his passion to give back and his philanthropic organization and members that worked so diligently to make everything come together cohesively in one stellar night.

Eye Complications with Diabetic Patients

Eye Complications with Diabetic Patients
By Dr Kambiz Silani

According to the American Diabetes Association, several factors increase your chance of Diabetic Retinopathy (which may lead to blindness). Furthermore, diabetic patients may "badly damage their retina before noticing any change in vision." Therefore, it is recommended to have your "eyes examined and dilated regularly by an eye care professional even among patients who are asymptomatic."
